When should I book my wedding cake?
We have found that our peak wedding season is generally from April through October. Thus, if you are bride-to-be and your wedding date falls within peak season, our team does recommend that you book the date at least 3 to 6 months before your actual wedding date.

Do you have some pictures of examples of your cakes?
Yes. Yes & Yes. We have more pictures of cakes than anyone cake designer company should have. Check out our gallery online. Visit our showroom or visit us online at our Facebook page or our Youtube Channel. We have the galleries. We have the design talent. You have the creativity. Let’s connect.

How could I make my order more cost effective for a large wedding guest list?
Over the years we have become very good at making our cake package options to fit nearly any budget. You could consider ordering a smaller “display-style” cake and then having an “extra servings cake” kept in the kitchen area to serve your guests. Essentially, the cake can be moved to the kitchen to be cut along with the sheet cakes and your guests will never know the difference.  If this option does not sound appealing we are open to discuss your ideas and we have a multitude of additional ideas we can offer you as well.

Can I reserve the date?
Yes. At Icing On The Top we do allow you to reserve the date by paying a non-refundable retainer that does go towards the total cost of your wedding cake / speciality cake package.  In order to reserve a date with our team you will need to set up a time to meet with one of our cake customization specialists. They will clarify your needs, your desires, your ideas and then they will write up a contract for you. Once you have decided on the particular style and specifications for the cake you want, we will finalize your contract and reserve the date. At Icing On The Top the cake design and the final payment must be paid at least 1 week before your event.

Who is putting the flowers on my actual cake?
From our experience, 90% of the time the florist that you have hired wants to put the flowers on the cake…and that is ok with us. If your florist does not want to put the flowers on the cake, then we are fine with that as well. The main focus is to make sure that you are happy with the overall presentation.

What generally occurs during a cake testing?
First off, clients tell us over and over again that their cake-tasting / testing experience was one of their favorite moments of their entire event planning process. We believe this process should be fun, flavorful and low pressure. We will work with you to find the flavor that is just right. Once you have narrowed it down to your favorite 2 cake flavors and your favorite 2 or 3 cake fillings, we will then work with you to narrow it down again to your final choices. If you decide that you want multiple cake fillings and flavors this is just fine with us (and their is no additional charge for you). Worst case scenario you are going to leave FULL and SATIATED.

How much do you charge?
We have prices to accommodate nearly any budget. At Icing On The Top we almost never hear what we are “too expensive.” We pride ourselves on turning your cake into art without asking you to part with your life savings to experience our work. Call us today we can setup a time to find out which cake design, style and package is best for you. Let’s make a cake as unique as your personality! The overall pricing is based upon the amount of detail work that goes into each cake, the type of frosting used, the amount of customization options specified and overall amount of cake design / decoration that will go into your cake.

What are your standard hours of operation?

We Work Via Appointment Only.

We deliver cakes 7 days per week.

Where is your office / showroom / cake gallery located?
We are conveniently located in the heart of the Tulsa’s Deco District directly to the west of the historic Mayo Hotel on 5th Street. We are part of the 5th Street Wedding Mall, so you may park in the “Bridal Parking Only” spaces found directly to the west of the 201 West 5th Street Building. Basically you can park for FREE within 1 block of our beautiful downtown street-level location.

Where are your cake-tastings held?
Each and every cake-testing appointment that we have is a one-on-one-style-face-to-face appointment. It is our goal that we can create a cake that is as unique as your personality. To achieve this, we want to take the time to get to know you, to allow you sample multiple flavors and fillings. We want you to be able to ask questions. We want you to tour our gallery. We want you to feel confident in your decision. Call us today and we can schedule a cake consultation with you at our downtown Tulsa Wedding Mall location at 111 West 5th Street.

Do you charge different prices for any of the cake flavors?
No. All of the cake flavors are the same price.

What about my cake topper? What do I need to do about this?
Handling the cake topper is really something that we deal with on a cake by cake basis. If you are bringing your family’s heir loom and traditional cake topper to the reception we can put it on then, however you must let us know if it needs supports (how much it weights etc…). Call us today. Share with us the details of your cake topper and we will quickly let you know a few options that will work best for you.

What if more people show up at my event than I expect (wedding crashers, third cousins, dates of my guests, etc…)?
It is very common for 90% of our clients to get their final guest count narrowed down around 2 weeks before the wedding. If you guest count shrinks or increases then you can increase or decrease the size of your cake. However, we would recommend always ordering a little more cake that you think you might need because people have a fabulous habitual way of just showing up without RSVPing.

How far do you deliver?
We deliver cakes within Tulsa County without a charge. If you want your cake delivered to the far regions of the Earth we can do that as well for an additional fee. Just let us know where you want your cake to be delivered and we can let you know what it will cost.

Do you charge a delivery fee?
No. If you are located within Tulsa County, your cake delivery is on us.

At Icing On The Top we do require a 25% non-refundable retainer to retain our cake art services. This amount does go towards the total cost of your event dessert items, cakes or wedding cake.

What forms of payment do you accept?
