A Quick Word From Jennifer:

When people see our cakes for the first time they usually ask questions like, “Wow, how is that possible to make that out of cake?” “Where did you learn how to do that?” “How many years did you have to attend school to learn how to make a cake like that?”

Although we are tempted to take credit for the great cakes our great staff has created over the years, really we must give all of the credit to God from who which all of our talent has been given. For me personally I learned how to decorate cakes by spending countless hours watching my mother as a young child. I used to spend hours upon hours watching her turn cake into art.

Since then, I’ve been learning from helpful decorators by intentionally seeking out their advice and guidance. Through hours upon hours of practice I have learned how to transform cake into art just as my mother did. I believe that God gives us our talents and our abilities to use for His Ministry. For some reason, I have been given a passion for creating innovative and unique cakes. For me practicing my craft and learning is not work, it is my passion.

In September of 2003, my passion for Him and my passion for turning cake into art (cake decorating) came together to form Icing On The Top. Since that time we have been blessed. Our team has been recognized with numerous awards, accolades and much recognition. In the spring of 2008, we expanded Icing On The Top to accommodate demand. In 2010, we again were forced to find a new location to accommodate even more demand for our cakes.

We are now located at 111 West 5th Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the heart of Tulsa’s ever growing Downtown Deco District. Our new beautiful location has us located directly to the east of the historic Mayo Hotel in the Tulsa Wedding Mall on 5th. We work primarily off referrals. Due to the creative design of our cakes our scheduling is limited so we take orders on a first come, first serve basis.
